Dawn Bennett represents clients in the areas of Family Law
Dawn Bennett is a founding member and partner of Bennett Law Chambers specializing in the practice of family law.
Dawn completed her Bachelor of Arts (English) program in 1992, graduating with honours from Huron College at the University of Western Ontario. One term contributing towards her degree was spent at Oxford University in England. Dawn earned her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Windsor in 1994, and her LL.B. (Hons) in 1997, graduating from the University of Bristol in England. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1998.
Dawn’s Canadian accreditation was completed in 1999 at the University of Toronto. In 2001, she was called to the Bar of Ontario. She then articled at a full service firm in Toronto, where she remained for a few years before returning to Mississauga to practice Family Law.
Within Dawn’s family law practice, she provides legal representation for separation agreements and divorce, spousal and child support, child custody, visitation issues and child access, child protection, grandparent’s rights, the division of family property, collaborative family law, and other issues.
Dawn maintains membership with the Ontario Bar Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the Collaborative Family Law Practice Group, Peel Law Association, Christian Legal Fellowship, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn in London, England.
